Fees
In the spirit of keeping everything simple, honest and accessible, fees are listed online. The LPA fee is fixed with no hidden extras or costs. All consultations, drafting, liaison with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) is included - the service is complete from end to end.
There is a cost to register the LPA with the OPG, this depends on your income. Support to claim reduced OPG fees is included.*

Fee per Single Lasting Power of Attorney
Health and Welfare LPA: £168.75
Use this LPA to give an attorney the power to make decisions about things like:
your daily routine, for example washing, dressing, eating
medical care
moving into a care home
life-sustaining treatment
Property & Financial Affairs LPA: £168.75
Use this LPA to give an attorney the power to make decisions about money and property for you, for example:
managing a bank or building society account
paying bills
collecting benefits or a pension
selling your home
Professional Business LPA: £450.00
A business LPA is important for any business owner to consider as part of risk management planning.
Use this LPA can be used if the business owner:
is out of the country for holiday or for business
suffers an accident that means they are no longer capable of acting
develops an incapacitating medical condition meaning they are no longer capable of acting

Exemptions and Remissions
No one should be disadvantaged and Speak for Me LPA proudly supports anyone whose financial situation makes paying for the drafting of an LPA a hardship (a maximum of 12 exemptions per year are available).
The following will apply in addition to the exemption or remission available from the OPG:

*The Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) charge £82.00 to register each LPA – this cost is payable directly by you to the OPG. If your gross annual income is less than £12,000, the charge is £41.00. If you receive certain means-tested benefits, or paying the fee would cause you financial hardship, you may be eligible for an exemption, meaning that you don’t have to pay the OPG anything.
